The ARM writes the bitmap only once on entering the screen and the 6507 displays it with the normal kernel of each mode. In DOUBLE the sentence does not fit in 96 interlaced pixels, so while it lasts the mode switches to STRIP, and when you go back to playing the chosen mode is restored.

Three versions
| Version | How it was | Problem |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | The sentence in the room bitmap with the scoreboard font squeezed to 4 pixels. | In the interlaced modes each field showed half the sentence and it could not be read. |
| 2 | A non-interlaced 48-pixel window in every mode, with the narrow 5-pixel font on eleven short lines and the figure at double height. | Legible, but far from the original in FULL. |
| 3 (current) | In FULL, like the original: the game font at 8 pixels, on six centred lines. In the other modes, version 2. | — |
